HKPHEA visited Shanghai Jiao Tong Vocational Technical College

A delegation from the Hong Kong Professional Hoisting Engineering Association (hereinafter referred to as "the Association"), including Chairman Mr. Alfred Lam, President Mr. Danny Ng, and Secretary General Ms. Leung Siu-ying, visited Shanghai Jiao Tong Vocational Technical College for an exchange visit. The purpose of the visit was to strengthen cooperation and communication with mainland universities, promoting talent cultivation and technological innovation in the lifting industry.
During the visit, the Association toured the practical training labs and outdoor training area of the Department of Port and Shipping Engineering, gaining insights into the college's professional teaching practices. The members of the Association spoke highly of the college's teaching facilities and instructional models.
In a roundtable discussion, both sides engaged had in-depth exchanges and discussions on the current state of industry development, practical applications of technology, and future directions for talent cultivation, sharing their experiences and insights.
Mr. Alfred Lam expressed that the Association places great importance on collaboration with institutions and is eager to provide safety management training seminars and relevant technical support；hopes that through collaboration with the college, both sides can achieve resource sharing and complementary advantages, cultivating more professional talent for the industry.
Mr Ji Qiang, Vice President of Shanghai Jiaotong Vocational and Technical College, welcomed the delegation and expressed hope for deeper cooperation in areas such as industry-academia collaboration and integration of education and production, working together to contribute to the development of the industry.
The success of this exchange not only strengthened the ties between he Hong Kong Professional Hoisting Engineering Association and Shanghai Jiao Tong Vocational Technical College but also laid a solid foundation for future collaboration. The Association will continue to promote the integration of industry and education, nurturing more outstanding professionals in the lifting field.
